台湾・カナダからの留学生をお迎えしました！〜国際色豊かな授業＆おにぎり交流会〜

今週は台湾の国立中山大学から5名、さらにカナダ・リンゼイから2名の留学生をそれぞれお迎えし、校内は非常に国際色豊かな温かい雰囲気に包まれました。

1. 交流のスケジュール

カナダのリンゼイより2名の留学生を受け入れ、約1週間にわたる交流プログラムを実施しています。

台湾の国立中山大学より5名の留学生が来校。歓迎会をはじめ、様々な授業交流を通して親睦を深めました。

2. 交流の様子
授業交流：言葉の壁を超えたアクティブな学び
英語の授業はもちろんのこと、古典基礎、公共、音楽、美術といった幅広い教科で、英語を用いた授業交流を行いました。 生徒たちは英語での対話に加え、時にはスマートフォンの翻訳機能や手描きのイラストを駆使しながら、工夫を凝らしてコミュニケーションを図り、見事に交流を成功させていました。

昼休み：日本の食文化を楽しむ「おにぎり交流会」
昼休みには、日本の伝統的な食文化に触れてもらう「おにぎり交流会」を開催。留学生と一緒に楽しくおにぎりを作りながら、生徒たちの弾けるような笑顔と笑顔が広がる、とても和やかな時間となりました。

3. 生徒たちの変化と学び
台湾・カナダそれぞれの文化や背景に直接触れることで、生徒たちは両国への理解を大いに深めることができました。言葉や文化の垣根を超えて心を通わせたこの体験は、生徒たちにとって忘れられない貴重な財産となったようです。

This week, our campus was filled with an exceptionally international and warm atmosphere as we hosted five student visitors from National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan, alongside two student visitors from Lindsay, Canada.

We hosted two student visitors from Lindsay, Canada, engaging in a week-long exchange program.

National Sun Yat-sen University (Taiwan)

We were delighted to welcome five student visitors from National Sun Yat-sen University in Taiwan for a welcome ceremony and various classroom exchange activities.

2. Highlights of the Exchange
Classroom Exchanges: Active Learning Beyond Language Barriers
The exchange went far beyond standard English classes. Our visitors joined lessons in a wide range of subjects, including Classical Japanese Basics, Public Studies, Music, and Art—all conducted using English. Students actively found creative ways to bridge communication gaps, using smartphone translation tools and hand-drawn illustrations when needed, making every interaction a genuine success.

Lunchtime: "Onigiri Exchange" Celebrating Japanese Culinary Culture
During lunchtime, we hosted an "Onigiri (Rice Ball) Exchange" to give our guests a hands-on taste of traditional Japanese food culture. Making onigiri together brought out bright smiles across the room, creating a warm and memorable bonding experience.

3. Student Growth and Reflection
By directly engaging with the diverse backgrounds and traditions of both Taiwan and Canada, our students significantly deepened their cross-cultural understanding. Connecting beyond language and cultural differences proved to be an invaluable and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
